TRAINING
Prospective Students
Graduate students find plentiful opportunities to study demography at Cornell. Beginning in 2010, the Cornell Population Program will offer its graduate student affiliates the opportunity to minor in demography. This minor requires students to complete a substantive course in population studies, a course in demographic methods, and the demography pro-seminar that is team taught by the CPP faculty. In addition, over 65 graduate level courses are offered by CPP faculty in 15 departments. These courses provide opportunities to engage with demographic theory and methods at more advanced and specialized levels. Students interested in enrolling in the minor field of demography must have at least one CPP faculty affiliate on their special committee. Interested students should contact David Brown, director of graduate studies in demography. |
