Data & Computing Core

The Data & Computing Core is directed by William Block, Director of the Cornell Institute for Social and Economic Research (CISER). The objective of the Computing Core is to provide data and enhanced computing services that are tailored to the needs of the population research community. These services take four basic forms:

  • Large-scale statistical computation services
  • Statistical computing consultation services, including instructional services to train new users, especially graduate students
  • Project-oriented statistical database services
  • Restricted-access research environments
